CC Filler

CC Filler

CC FILLER is a fiber-reinforced, cement-based filler that only requires the addition of water. The product consists of Portland cement, adhesives, mineral fillers and fine kiln-dried quartz sand, which by its composition makes the product particularly suitable for most repair and filler tasks. After correct mixing, CC FILLER has a firm consistency that can be adjusted with the amount of water. CC FILLER is ideal for filling existing tiles and clinker or minor repair tasks on walls and floors. CC FILLER is supplied in 10 kg buckets.

Description

Application

The substrate must be suitable and cleaned of oil, grease and other loose particles that can impair adhesion. Before the first layer of CC FILLER, prime with CC Primer – see mixing ratio and instructions on the product. For optimal adhesion, prime between each layer. The ready-mixed filler is distributed/applied to the water or vertical surface with a suitable tool, such as a steel or rubber spatula. The processing time is approx. 30-40 min at +20°C. It must be distributed over the entire desired surface in an even layer, with a thickness of 0.5 – 0.8 mm per layer. For joint widths over 8 mm, or in the case of layer thicknesses over 0.8 mm, it is recommended to add 30% quartz sand (up to 0.6 mm). It is also recommended to ALWAYS add 30% quartz sand in a build-up with CC Filler, on surfaces where point loads are expected from e.g. chair and table legs etc. The number of layers of CC FILLER depends on the individual task, but we always recommend a minimum of 2 layers. Applying in too thick layers without quartz sand can result in microcracks. To achieve a smooth, even look, sanding can be done between each layer. The product must be completely dry before sanding. We recommend using grit 40 to 240 sandpaper. Do not use CC FILLER if the temperature is below +5°C or higher than +35°C. The product is for indoor use only.

ATTENTION!Please note that this filler becomes very hard after drying and you must therefore be precise in your filler application. If CC FILLER is applied in too thick a layer, microcracks may occur.
