Description
Description
CC SEALER PU TOP is a clear matte, water-based polyurethane varnish, which is primarily used as a final finish on new Contec Coating surfaces where a matt finish with ease of cleaning in a class of its own is desired.
Substrate
Clean, dry, grease-free and sustainable substrate. Substrates should be primed with CC SEALER WP BASE to ensure uniform absorption of CC SEALER PU TOP, which helps prevent whitish stains from matting agents. The substrate temperature must be at least 10°C and higher than the dew point. The temperature of the varnish must be 10°C-25°C. If the temperature is too high or too low, the flowability will be affected.
Application
CC SEALER PU TOP is supplied in a coordinated mixing ratio. If the entire set is not mixed, the components must be weighed carefully. Component A is also unhomogenized and must therefore be stirred thoroughly before component B is added. The components are mixed thoroughly with suitable mixing equipment, e.g. a drill with a mixing propeller or agitator. Avoid whipping air into the mixture. Apply with a paint roller. Two-three coats are normally applied (in wet rooms, always apply a minimum of two coats). The second coat can be applied when the first coat is dry, after 2-4 hours. The varnish is fully hardened after 5-7 days. CC SEALER PU TOP must be applied evenly, with a sufficiently wet roller. It is important that the varnish is applied in very thin layers. Applying layers that are too thick WILL result in bubbles.
Characteristics
The varnish is scratch-resistant, durable and has good chemical resistance. It is also flexible and, as something special, varnishing with CC SEALER PU TOP does not change the appearance of the item.
This means that the varnished item will not appear with a darker color tone or wet-look.
ATTENTION! Do not mix more than you can use.
