Pure

PURE is a pre-mixed dry powder product that only requires the addition of clean cold water, followed by effective mixing. After mixing, PURE can be used in a 2-3 layer floor or wall construction, or for creating concrete surfaces on countertops, furniture, etc. PURE can be used on most horizontal and vertical surfaces. PURE is ideal if a fine and soft surface is desired. If a more rustic surface is desired, up to 30% quartz sand can be added to PURE. PURE is supplied in 1 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg buckets.

Application
The substrate must be suitable and cleaned of oil, grease and other loose particles that can impair adhesion. Before the first layer of PURE, first prime with CC Primer – see mixing ratio and instructions on the product. For optimal adhesion, either prime or spray with clean cold water between each layer – in both cases, avoid creating ‘puddles’. In some cases, on surfaces such as plastic, glass, steel, ceramics, etc., it may be necessary to epoxy prime with scattered sand instead. PURE can be applied with a paint roller, brush, steel spatula, rubber spatula, smoothing board or with a sponge. It must be distributed over the entire desired surface in an even layer, with a thickness of 0.2 – 0.4 mm (200 g – 400 g) per layer. Too thick layers of Contec Coating PURE can result in microcracks. The number of layers of PURE depends on the desired effect, but we always recommend a minimum of 2 layers. To achieve a smooth, even look, sand between each coat. The product must be completely dry before sanding. We recommend using grit 40 to 240 sandpaper, depending on the desired finish. Do not use PURE if the temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C. The product must also not be used outdoors if precipitation is expected within 48 hours.
